Off The Record invites you behind the scenes for a workshop exploring the essential technical and production elements involved in preparing for a gig.

Designed for emerging artists and industry, the session will demystify the technical side of live music while giving you practical experience with equipment and production set-ups.

This practical workshop takes you behind the scenes of a live show, with demonstrations covering instrument set-up, live sound engineering, routes into the industry, and a soundcheck demo. You’ll learn how to put together a tech spec, understand advances, backline, and venue production requirements, and see how sound desks are used to shape the sound for a live performance.

Throughout the workshop you’ll have opportunities to ask questions, observe demonstrations up close, and connect with fellow artists and creatives developing their live performance practice.
