DUMFRIES MUSIC CONFERENCE

Dumfries Music Conference was formed in 2012 and continued in subsequent years as a project funded and delivered by The Stove Network. In 2016, Dumfries Music Conference was established as an independent community interest company with the aims of delivering key musical insight and knowledge to the local community and showcasing up and coming musical talent. With this, the annual conference has become the flagship event in a year-long programme of DMC events.

Dundee Festival Trust holds funds for charitable purposes exclusively.  The award scheme has been established to help groups to create, promote, maintain and improve festivals or events held within the City of Dundee.

STATION HOUSE MEDIA UNIT

Station House Media Unit (shmu), supported by Aberdeen City Council as one of the core cultural organisations in the city, is at the forefront of Community Media development in Scotland, supporting residents in the seven regeneration areas of Aberdeen in radio and video production, traditional and on-line publications, music production and digital inclusion. The organisation also supports other disadvantaged communities, both geographic and communities of interest, with an employability and training arm, and a recently developed a programme for offenders, both pre and post release.

Galashiels event has been organised in partnership with the CABN (Creative Arts Business Network), Scottish Borders Youth Music Forum, YouthBorders and Scottish Borders Council Youth Music Initiative.

  • CABN (Creative Arts Business Network) which provides support for creative professionals across all art forms, organisations and venues in the Scottish Borders.
  • The Creative Learning Team which facilitates a range of creative programmes for the benefit of young people in the Scottish Border including the Youth Music Initiative.
  • The Scottish Borders Youth Music Forum which aims to improve access to and diversify the range of out-of-school youth music activities within the borders
