Chloe Sharkey
OTR Youth Advisory Board

Music has surrounded Chloe’s life from the very beginning, and it is ultimately her first language. From always having her dad’s guitar in sight when she was a baby, joining pipe band and sharing music to audiences internationally, studying music to develop practical skills on new instruments, being overloaded with music growing up as a festival kid, creating playlists no matter the occasion, to even going on a trip abroad to see Ludovico Einaudi’s concert on his return to Milano.

All that and more but you get the story - it has made Chloe into the person she is today!

Eilidh Lavelle
OTR Youth Advisory Board

I’m Eilidh, a freelance studio assistant and audio engineer. In 2023, I graduated from the University of the West of Scotland in Commercial Music and I am super lucky that I have been granted with many opportunities within different sectors of the Creative Industries. My work consists of collaborating with a wide range of artists and composers from around the world, to produce albums and soundtracks for release on digital music platforms, for film and on tv streaming platforms. Every day is different in the studio and it really is amazing being able to connect with a diverse range of creative individuals to make their project ideas and visions a reality.

Gillian Morrison
OTR Youth Advisory Board

Since graduating with an honours degree in Music Business in 2022, Gillian has discovered a passion for live events, and has worked tirelessly since then on removing the barriers faced by others from gaining access to this area of the industry.

Using her experience as a student, Gillian founded and co-organised the inaugural Women in Music conference in April 2023, as part of her Artist in Residency for Edinburgh College. She has since followed it up with a planned series of gigs to highlight the best of local female and gender non-conforming talent coming out of Scotland.

As part of the Future Leader’s Initiative (run by the charity Attitude is Everything), Gillian has gained a specialism in live events access for D/deaf and disabled people, that she now carries into her own projects. She has also undertaken multiple freelance positions for the charity and represented the organisation across an array of iconic Scottish venues and at festivals such as the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend 2023 and Glastonbury.
