2025 Showcase Applications Open Now

Applications are now open to emerging acts of any genre based in Scotland to perform as part of the Off The Record Showcase. Taking place at Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh (24 July 2025), four of Scotland’s most exciting grassroots artists will perform to a public and music industry audience.

• You must be currently based in Scotland, and making original music.

• This opportunity is only open to artists / music creators who are aged 16-25.

• Due to the high volume of applications received, it is not possible for us to provide feedback.

Off The Record Showcase Details

Four acts will be picked by a panel of industry and media to take part in the Off The Record showcase on 24 July 2025.

The showcase is open to artists or music creators based in Scotland, aged 16-25 of any genre. It isn’t necessary to already have a team or developed fanbase across Scotland. Applications will be assessed based on submitted tracks and evidence of working towards career development.

Deadline: Midnight Thursday 5 June 2025

What’s Included:

• 1x online mentoring day to support development needs.

• Live photographs from the showcase.

• High-quality backline + sound engineer at your showcase.

• Artist catering (healthy food + drinks) at your showcase.

• £150 showcase fee.

• Follow-up development meeting (online)

What’s Expected:

• All performers must be currently based in Scotland.

• You must be under 26.

• You consider yourself ready to showcase and/or have performed live before.

• All featured band members must participate in the online mentoring day and follow-up development meeting.

• You are members of PRS (songwriters) and PPL (performers) or equivalent Performance Rights Organisation (PRO), or are willing to join if accepted. We are happy to help get you registered.

• You will promote your Off The Record showcase and will engage with the organisers to get the most from the opportunity.

• You agree to fill your free guest list allocation (15 tickets per act).

Accessibility

Applications to showcase will also be accepted in video or audio recording format.
