Aja Garrod Prance

NextGen Associate, Youth Music

Aja is the NextGen Associate with Youth Music. Aja looks after the Youth Music NextGen Fund, which is for early-stage musicians and wider music adjacent creatives to run their own projects and make their ideas happen. Youth Music believe that every young person should have the chance to change their life through music. Yet our research shows that many can’t because of who they are, where they’re from or what they’re going through. As well as investing in individual creatives, we also fund organisations - including small charities, arts venues, music businesses and more - to run music making projects or create career progression opportunities for young people in music. Youth Music is a national charity funded thanks to the National Lottery via Arts Council England, players of People's Postcode Lottery and support from partners, fundraisers and donors.

Prior to Youth Music, Aja held roles at the PRS Foundation as Grants Coordinator (PPL Momentum, Hitmaker, International Showcase Fund), The Albany in Deptford and a philosophy and music festival.
