Atlantic Records - A&R
Andrew Mikkelsen is an A&R for Atlantic Records UK, where he is responsible for the scouting and development of new talent for the iconic and historic record label. Raised in West Lothian in Scotland and surrounded by music from a very young age, Andrew moved to Glasgow to study for a music degree at the University of Glasgow and began to cut his teeth in the city’s music industry by promoting events ranging from techno raves to pop-up opera recitals alongside an assistant role at the boutique electronic independent label and management company, Hotgem.
Following this, Andrew moved to London and studied for a masters degree in Music Business Management from the University of Westminster, where he focused his research on diversity and inclusivity in the modern music industry. Following an internship in the radio and TV department of acclaimed American independent label group, Secretly Group, Andrew went on to begin his A&R career as a scout for both Atlantic and Sony/ATV publishing. After gaining invaluable experience from this time working at the world’s largest music publisher, Andrew is now a full-time scout for Atlantic and is focused on discovering and developing the new talent to shape the future of the label.
